A quick update and some links to other books

So, as you can see, getting into the swing of Substack is a process. I note, however, that video posts are a potential here so don’t be surprised if you see my mug talking through this at some point in the future.
Speaking of talking - if you haven’t checked out Bald & Balding over on YouTube, I think you’re missing out. We’ve talked to well over 200 indie authors in the last couple years and we’re not slowing down. Typically shows run about an hour and it’s more fun if you catch them live. And to do that, we make it as easy as possible by letting you watch from YouTube, Twitter (X), and Twitch! Shows are usually at 7 or 8 p.m. eastern time in the US but we talk to folks from all around the world (so long as they speak English).
THE DRUID
Book 4 of Ranger’s Deck is moving along with the titular druid (Lytal) currently sitting around a campfire sharing stories. The next thing I write will be something horrible happening - but you could have guessed that. I’m hoping The Druid will bow into being in summer of 2026.
SIGIL AUDIO BOOK
I’ve contacted the voice artist but haven’t heard back in a while. If that drags on too much longer, I may just do it myself and if I do, I will certainly post the first few chapters on the Bald & Balding YouTube channel for you to check out. That would also be a 2026 project though, but I’ll keep you updated.

SOMETHING FOR READING ALL THE WAY DOWN HERE
Here is a link to a pre-order for a new book by E.L. Montague. EL’s take on fantasy is a little different than mine - it’s grittier, leaning toward darker fantasy, but not so much that it’s not immensely enjoyable. I’ve had the opportunity to read this book already, so please check it out and keep it in mind as you prepare your gift list for the holidays.
And here’s another link, this one from Mike Mollman (who you can also find on Substack) and he was even nice enough to make this one FREE from Oct. 30 through November 1, so move fast! Halley Traveler is a fun science fiction romp where a young Martian has to grow up fast to find his father’s killer, and make sure he doesn’t get on the wrong side of the very wrong people.
